I'm an archaeologist specializing in Egyptology and North Africa. I was born in Setúbal, Portugal, but I found my home in Barcelona, where I lived for 16 years.
I have been working for more then 20 years between Africa and Europe, in international archaeological and cultural cooperation projects and sustainable tourism.
I have lived and worked in Portugal, Egypt, Mauritania, Niger and Brazil. Today I live with my family in Dublin.
I deeply believe in the importance and role of heritage to connect us on our collective journey.
That is why in 2008 I created Teiduma.
My work has been developed in African countries such as Egypt, Mauritania and Niger, but also in Europe in international projects with Portuguese, Spanish, Swiss and German partners. .
In 2008 I co-founded Teiduma with my dear friend and colleague Esther Gil, due to our love and commitment with heritage as a tool for local sustainable development. Since 2016 our professional lives have separated, but Teiduma keeps strengthening its roots.
Nowadays with Teiduma I'm working on ways to make heritage a tool to development, but also as a tool to connect cultures. Because at the very end and independent of our culture, religion, gender or age, we are all humans and ours is a collective journey.
